Offsetting

SPE is a certificates proving that a company or project has successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1 ton of CO₂ equivalent. Each credit is verified through a rigorous process and recorded in Indonesia's national registry system.

Through this mechanism, companies that generate emissions can offset their carbon footprint by purchasing credits from certified emission reduction projects, covering Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions.

As an official SPE issuer under the PLN Group, PLN EMI has the full capacity to provide, verify, and manage carbon credits for both Indonesian and multinational corporations.
